A last minute call saw Jimmy Jib Camera Cranes providing a Jimmy Jib and operator for ‘The Renovator’ – a TVC/Advertorial produced by ‘Brand Developers Ltd’.

Shot at Central Studios (Ponsonby Rd, Auckland), the production used a 3.6m Jib on tracks and recorded on the Sony PDW-700 XDCam format.

Shot in the late afternoon and evening on location at Piha, West Auckland on Digital Betacam – Directed by David Pirie, DOP Rhys Duncan.

Jimmy Jib camera cranes provided a 9m Extreme rig for exteriors of the beach house and a view across the sand dunes to Lion Rock.

‘Old Boy’ Feature Film

‘Old Boy’ Feature Film July 2003, Can Do Media A contingent of Korean filmmakers and a local film crew came together for 4 days at Mt Lyford, west of Kaikoura in the South Island, shooting in the snow on a Korean feature film. Auckland-based Line Producer In Hee Jeong organized the NZ crew and coordinated with the Korean film crew to bring the shoot together.

Shot almost entirely on the Jimmy Jib with 120deg Dutch Roll Head, this 4 minute music video was shot within a 12 hour day.

‘Go You Good Thing’ was directed by Leon Sefton, DOP Mark Chamberlin and edited by Phil Green, with funding from NZ on Air.

Jimmy Jib Camera Cranes supplied a 7.3m rig with Dutch Roll and operators Mark Rule (Hothead) and Stephen Grueber (Grip).

‘Go You Good Thing’ is from Splitter’s ‘Devil In The Detail’ album. The band is: Andrew Thorne (Vocals, Guitar), Brett Adams (Guitar), Aidan Phillip-Phillips (Bass) and Wayne Bell (Drums). Splitter’s track ‘Probably Feel Alright’ from the same album features in Grant LaHood’s movie ‘Kombi Nation’.
